chose santander on a ryanair cheapo. .the a NH Express at the airport end. hotel was as expected of these traveller type hotels clean, staff polite and the breakfast typical continental. though my son laughed when he saw the ham and cheese and rolls. but chose toast and marmalade(apricot). after a short one euro bus ride into town we got to santander, nice clean, being a saturday as ...SHOW FULL REVIEW

Great beachesSantander is a great place to spend a summer holiday.
Not as hot as the rest of Spain, the beaches in Santander are perfect to escape the summer heat. The sand is fine and the waves small enough to enjoy a swim and big enough to surf. Home away from homeI studied in Santander for 3 months and I don't think I could have chosen a better place to live. This city is everything you could want for a vacation destination. The beaches are pristine, the people are helpful (even when they can't understand you they will go out of their way to help you) and the shopping is spectacular.

Santander 7887 Gracias!At first sight, Santander appears to be a typical commercial port but a little expoloring reveals a very diverse and interesting town. There are 5 seperate beaches around the city that are clean and spacious with golden sand. The coastline is rugged and in someways similar to cornwall, England.
